Domain Registrars
Remember that I recommend keeping your hosting separate from your domain
registration in the vast majority of cases.
Namecheap.com - excellent customer
service at a reasonable price
GoDaddy - this is an exception to my
rule about separating registration since GoDaddy is a tier one domain
registrar. Your domain registration tools are separate from your hosting
tools.
000domains.com - I have used this
registrar in the past and have been pleased with their customer support.
They are slightly more expensive than the other two but have good phone
support if needed which namecheap does not have (godaddy).
Hosting
Hosting is one of those big variables since there is no one perfect host
